RuntimeError

Enum RuntimeError

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum RuntimeError { IdOverflow(&'static str), RegisterAllocation { register: &'static str, source: TryReserveError, }, InvalidProgram(&'static str), MissingTask(TaskId), MissingBit(BitId), MissingRecord(RecordId), StepLimit { limit: u64, }, NoQuantumAlternative, Backend(SimError), Decoder(DecoderError), InvalidTiming, }
Expand description

Failures on the dynamic causal runtime path.

That path is run() and the timing, retry, noise, and mock-decoding machinery it drives. The noiseless physical verifier is the other execution engine in this crate and reports ExecError instead.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

IdOverflow(&'static str)

A dense runtime or artifact identifier exhausted u32.

§

RegisterAllocation

A runtime table could not fit or allocate its initial capacity.

Fields

§register: &'static str

Runtime table being initialized.

§source: TryReserveError

Capacity or allocation failure from the table.

§

InvalidProgram(&'static str)

A public VM program or runtime setting violated its fixed-register contract.

§

MissingTask(TaskId)

A task id or dependency was absent.

§

MissingBit(BitId)

A required classical bit was absent.

§

MissingRecord(RecordId)

A required record was absent.

§

StepLimit

The run exhausted its operation-work cap.

Fields

§limit: u64

Configured cap.

§

NoQuantumAlternative

No guarded quantum alternative matched available input bits.

§

Backend(SimError)

The selected simulator rejected an operation.

§

Decoder(DecoderError)

Mock decoder configuration or timing was invalid.

§

InvalidTiming

Finite instruction durations overflowed the runtime clock.
